NDIS physiotherapy explained

What does an NDIS physiotherapist help with?

NDIS physiotherapy helps people build the physical skills and confidence needed for everyday life. The right support starts with the participant’s own goals—not a generic list of exercises.

Common goals

Physiotherapy may support movement goals at home, school, work, sport or in the community.

  • Strength, balance and coordination
  • Walking, stairs and transfers
  • Endurance and physical activity
  • Running, sport and playground participation
  • Equipment, home programs and carer education

What good support looks like

Assessment should lead to a clear plan that makes sense to the participant and their support network. Progress can be measured through physical tests, but also through meaningful changes such as needing less help, joining an activity or feeling more confident.

How MotionMate works

MotionMate provides mobile sessions across Perth at home, school and in the community, with telehealth when appropriate. Support is available for plan-managed and self-managed participants.
