Your first appointment

What happens in your first MotionMate session?

The first session is a conversation and practical assessment—not a test you need to prepare for. Chad learns what matters to you, observes relevant movement and agrees on the next steps with you.

Before the session

MotionMate confirms the participant’s goals, location, funding arrangement, consent and any important health or safety information. Relevant reports can be shared when helpful and authorised.

During the session

The appointment may include discussion, observation of everyday movement, physical assessment and trialling suitable activities. Breaks, communication preferences and support people are welcomed.

After the session

You receive a clear explanation of the findings and recommended plan. This may include session frequency, home strategies, outcome measures and any communication required with the broader support team.
